What Is Power Trim?
Power Trim is an electronic depth adjustment system that raises or lowers the trolling motor's position in the water — changing how deep the propeller runs — at the press of a button.
On the Instinct QUEST, you control Power Trim from the wireless remote, the One-Boat Network app, or a compatible Humminbird display. You can adjust motor depth while the boat is stationary, while you're on Spot-Lock, or while the motor is running — without touching the motor or leaving your position on the boat.
On motors without Power Trim — including the Riptide Terrova QUEST — motor depth is set manually at the mount before you fish. If conditions change and you need to adjust depth, you have to physically interact with the motor.

Power Trim adjusts the vertical position of the motor head and shaft relative to the bow mount — effectively raising or lowering how deep the propeller sits in the water.
