13. The New Abyss 10-Year Transferable Premium Warranty

A premium product should have meaningful manufacturer support behind it.

Effective August 1, 2026, Abyss introduced a 10-year transferable premium warranty for qualifying marine lithium batteries purchased on or after that date. Registration within 90 days is required for the 10-year coverage. Batteries with an original receipt that are not registered retain coverage under the applicable standard warranty according to Abyss’s current terms. Abyss states that registered coverage applies to its marine lithium batteries across 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V and 72V categories and covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under the warranty terms.

The transferable component is particularly interesting for boat owners. Premium marine equipment can add value when a boat is eventually sold. Electronics, trolling motors, shallow-water anchors and battery systems all become part of the package a buyer evaluates. A transferable long-term battery warranty can therefore provide value beyond the original owner.
